After posting some photos of my latest of eight ear piercings, I got an overwhelming amount of questions about where I get my dainty little earrings and studs. It’s one of my most asked questions by readers actually, so let’s break it down today!
FIVE FAVOURITE BRANDS FOR DAINTY EARRINGS
Although I am pretty loyal to the pieces I wear as I tend to invest a little bit in them, I love nothing more than looking for new pieces and brands around the globe. There’s always something to add, to make that ear ensemble more perfect! Right now I mix 14k gold, silver and genuine diamonds.
I have been getting pierced at NY Adorned and Body Electric Tattoo – the jewelry that I wear in mu conch and helix never comes out. In my ear lobes I’ll wear ‘regular’ studs and earrings, that anyone can put in. And this is where I like to browse and start dreaming of a perfectly put together ear.
1. Gabriela Artigas
Design-sister duo makes a mix of organic and more minimalistic styles. I first fell for their stackable rings and know the tusk earring is a popular piece that has taken online stores by a storm. I’ll be visiting the Artigas’ sisters studio this week and can’t wait to see their creations up close.
2. Line & Jo
Another sister set! This Danish pair has mastered the ear cuff like no other. Sure, they offer a lot (a lot!) of beautiful earrings too, but there just isn’t a brand that does cuffs this well so if you browse Line & Jo, that’s a fun section to have a look.
3. Brvtvs
I came across Brvtvs on Instagram and fell for a photo of the three bar cuff. The U vectis earrings are something special too, and all is made in New York.
4. Kathleen Whitaker
As you can tell from the opening photo, Kathleen focusses mainly on studs – from staples to dots to spikes, you name it – all exclusively in rose gold and yellow gold. I like how she is true to a few signature styles, and then designs different versions of those. Like a longer staple, that goes in to two holes in the earlobe.
5. Studio MHL
I wear their silver staple and triangle quite a lot, as you saw on me here, and recommended them on Instagram this week. It’s stocked at BonBonboutique in Amsterdam and the lovely owner told me that a bunch of you girls had come in looking for the studs after I posted about them! Proud that we get to support Dutch designers together.
